Remote Desktop enables you to carry out remote control on every PC in your network as soon as the PC runs Microsoft Windows NT or Microsoft Windows 95.
The REMOTE DESKTOP project was started at FIM, a research institute at the University of Linz, Austria. The project itself was initiated typically research oriented in 1993 by Gerhard Eschelbeck with his initial team Andreas Schlemmer, Peter Blaimschein and
Johannes Mayr. Several papers were presented at various conferences and also reprints published in related journals describing the results of these efforts. The worldwide feedback to the software encouraged the original project team to improve and adopt the initial version. McAfee has acquired this technology and opens the newly Window NT research facility, the McAfee Development Center (MDC) in Linz for further research and development.
