Original Kurzfassung:
The superconducting properties of screen printed MgB2 thick films on different single- and polycrystalline substrates were investigated. Screen printing is a relatively cheap and easy technique, which does not require vacuum equipment and might, therefore, be suitable for future applications. The transition temperature of the films is typically well above 30 K. The films were characterised by transport measurements in magnetic fields up to 15 T. Critical current densities of 1 to 2 x 109 A/m2 at 20 K and self-field were observed. These transport properties are compared to results on MgB2 films produced by pulsed laser deposition.
