This contribution deals with non-relativistic
particle mechanics including electromagnetic effects in a covariant
description based on differential geometric methods. This intrinsic
formulation is achieved by the construction of an affine connection
extending the classical Levi-Civita connection and the use of the
vertical covariant differential. Furthermore, the Lagrangian and the
Hamiltonian point of view will be analyzed.
