Original Kurzfassung:
The ECDL, the European Computer Driving Licence, is a certificate showing that the holder has skills in handling the most common computer applications. As an internationally promoted, accepted and fast evolving certificate the ECDL is getting more and more attention at the labour market. This paper gives special attention to a) the accessibility of the ECDL for the people with disabilities offered by its flexible, product and organisation independent structure, b) the potential the ECDL has to support the IT training opportunities for people with disabilities and c) the ECDL as a tool to promote the integration of people with disabilities at the labour market. The structure of an international co-operation will be outlined.
