Original Kurzfassung:
This contribution presents a comprehensive concept for both, the observation and assessment of lightweight constructions regarding structural damages. The process starts with structural analysis, continues with monitoring of the structure during operation, and concludes with determination of necessary repair measures of critical damages. In this way the wellknown methods of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) are just a part of the process, wherefore the authors call the proposed complete view Structural Health Control (SHC). In this article this approach is introduced and illustrated on hand of a simple
example from civil aircraft engineering.
