Original Kurzfassung:
Experimental modal analysis is a well-established method to determine the natural frequencies and mode shapes of structures. It is based on the measurement of frequency response functions between force input and motion response. If a hydraulic system can be transformed into a dual mechanical structure, the frequency response functions between flow rate input and pressure response may be used for experimental modal analysis. In the application example presented, a hydraulic transmission line system is excited by a servovalve, and local pressures are measured along the lines. The pressure mode shapes of the
hydraulic system are identified by a structural dynamics software package
