Small organic semiconducting molecules are defined by the configuration of their conjugated backbone, and the arrangement of possible substituents, functional groups and side chains. In addition to these structural characteristics conjugated polymers feature polymer molecular mass parameters (Mn, Mw), which can strongly affect the solid state properties and the performance in organic electronic applications. In the poster contribution for the Macromolecular Colloquium in Freiburg (15.-17.02.2017) we report on the investigation of three batches of an anthracene-containing poly(p-phenylene-ethynylene)-alt-poly(p-phenylene-vinylene) with slightly varying polymer characteristics and relate these characteristics to their transport properties and photovoltaic response.
