Magnetic geared motors have many advantages over mechanical gearboxes, including reduced maintenance, no requirement for lubrication, and intrinsic overload protection. However, in terms of durability, the
limited lifetime of the mechanical bearings holding the high-speed rotor is a critical issue. In order to solve this problem, a magnetic geared motor with an integrated bearingless motor in the high-speed rotor has been proposed. Suspension force is generated
to the high-speed rotor by adding threephase windings with different numbers of poles to the threephase motor winding in the stator. However, in the previous papers, the levitation characteristics have not been discussed in detail, and the possibility of achieving
it has not been clarified. Therefore, in this paper, the torque and magnetic suspension force of the proposed motor are analyzed using the finite element method to propose a motor structure that has high potential for realization.
