Every four years the Austrian Mathematical Society organizes a congress with international outreach. It became a nice tradition that the German Mathematical Society co-organizes this event and has its Annual Meeting at the congress. The last joint congresses took place in Innsbruck (2013), Graz (2009), Klagenfurt (2005) and Vienna (2001). For the forthcoming edition the attractive Austrian city of Salzburg was chosen. Salzburg as a city has much cultural program to offer and, also, the Austrian mountains are nearby. The Department of Mathematics of the Paris-Lodron-University of Salzburg is very happy to host this meeting and, by the way, will celebrate its 50th anniversary of existence in 2017. The meeting starts on Monday morning of September 11, 2017 and end its Scientific Program on Thursday afternoon of September 14, 2017. The Friday is devoted to the Teacher?s and "FH-Tag".
