Basically the quality of any transmitted signal is inherently important for the success of the system itself. However, the effort to maximize the range, resolution and data-transmission capability should be ideally drawn out. The goal of this work is to improve the overall quality of the transmitted signal of a 77GHz automotive Radar sensor at the same time reducing the effort to generate the signal and reduce the entire power consumption. Three steps were taken to realize these goals. Step 1 is to reduce the entire power consumption at equal performance, Step 2 is the (r)evolution of the PLL scheme and step 3 is a proof of concept reliability building the whole system, performing measurements.
