Original Kurzfassung:
This contribution deals with control techniques for mechanical structures with piezoelectric sensor and actuator layers, which are spatially distributed. Hamiltonian systems are used to describe these structures. It turns out that collocated control using a suitable actuator and sensor pairing simplifies the controller design a lot. This method, well known for finite dimensional systems, seems to be even more important for infinite dimensional ones, because one can find simple solutions for the PD- and special H2-, Hinf-design problems in the collocated case. Since this approach is based on the so called Poisson bracket, one can unify the controller design for finite and for infinte dimensional systems. Of course, the stability investigations are much more complicated in the latter case.
